Dear
Club Presidents,
The
meeting date is nearing below
is a short
list that each
of you needs
to be
aware of:
1.
Please
make your hotel reservations by
April
4th.
We all ready extended the cutoff
date
by one week.
2.
Please
either call or email the Club with the number of people that will be attending
from your Club. If
at all possible I would like to have this information by
April
18th.
3.
The
Carpathia Untergruppen will
be holding a raffle on Saturday and all proceeds will be donated to the Stiftung.
Each
club and any individual are
welcome to bring a prize for the raffle.
4.
For
those of you that are coming
in
on Friday we do
offer a food service from 4:30PM to 8:00PM.
We server
baked and fried fish as well as our
famous Schweine
Hacksen.
The
fish dinner sells for $9.00 and the Schweine Hacksen is $10.00.
5.
On
Friday
evening
starting
at 8:00PM we
will have a Kameradschaft’s
Abend
in
our members lounge. Everyone
is welcome to attend.
6.
On
Saturday morning
from
11:00AM to 2:00PM we
will have a dance
workshop for the youth. Please
make sure you include the number of youth attending in your overall counts.
7.
Lunch
will
be served on
Saturday from 12:00PM to 2:30PM
8.
Breakfast
will
be served on
Sunday from 8:30AM
to 10:30AM
9.
Lunch
will be served on Sunday from 11:30AM to 1:30PM
10.
Last
but not least there is major construction on
I75
in downtown
Detroit
.
The
highway is closed. I
personally recommend the following routes:
a.
For
those of you coming
up
I75 from
Ohio
i.
Take
I75 north to I275 North.
ii.
Take
I275 to I696 East
iii.
Take
I696 to exit 22
“Mound
Road” North
iv.
If
you are going to the hotel:
1.
Take
Mound Road North to M59
East
2.
Take
M59 East just past M53 (this is about 2.25 miles). The
hotel is on the North/East side of the intersection of M59 & M53.
There is a Sam's
Club across the street from the hotel.
v.
If
you are going to the Club:
1.
Take
Mound Road North
to
17 Mile Road
. Make
a right (east) onto
17 Mile
Road
2.
Take
17 Mile road to
Utica Road
. Make
a
right onto
Utica
(east)
3.
Take
Utica
past the 1st light
(
Schoenherr Road
). Carpathia
is on the left
just past the golf course and Church.
b.
Please
