U14
Girls win Premier..
Winning the premier league was spectacular after
joining it for the first time this year. After the top
showing in the state cup tournament the team received
an invite to the Midwest Regional League but had to
finish strong which they accomplished.
"In a 3 game stretch, every player has the
ability to start a game. We have been down at halftime
most of the season, as we have played outstanding
opponents. The difference is that we are never
satisfied with an outcome. The only thing that stops
our forward progress is the final whistle! We are
always pushing forward, with a physical, direct-style
of play" said Schmidt. |
MSC
U14 advance in Wisconsin State Cup....
WFB took a 3-1 lead late into the second half when the
MSC U14 girls turned it on and scored 3 goals to win 4-3
to tally 4 points in the tournament and setting up a
thrilling preliminary round game on Monday with
Brookfield Red who won their second in a row for 6
points.
The Memorial Day match came down to a must win scenario
for MSC U14 girls who were up to the task. The game
against Brookfield included one goal for MSC in the
first half and a 1-0 lead that held for the entire game
despite many very close shots on goal, breakaways and
tough defense for both teams. A final sure to be
remembered by the MSC faithful. MSC U14 girls now
head to Fond du Lac for the semifinals on June 4th
against Lake Country United with the finals on Sunday
June 5th.
Good
luck MSC! |
4-4-11 The MSC U14 Girls premier team started
their spring season with a stellar effort winning two
games and tying one in the Emerald Tournament in
Overland Park, KS April 1-3, 2011. The girls
team had strong play from many on the team lead by a
combination of a stout defense, several great
midfielder passes and forwards pushing the ball
creating opportunities.
Battling
high winds in the late game on Saturday and then again
on Sunday the team came within 1 point of moving on to
the championship after the Sunday morning game.
Congratulations on a strong start to the U14 Girls
Premier team! |
